Increase Your Online Marketing
Results By 500%

I have said many many times that in online marketing, "Follow-up is more important than the initial contact". There is simply no use in creating leads if you don't take the time, or don't have the time to properly follow-up with those people. I cannot tell you how many times over the years I have heard story after story from people who were contacted by one person, who never followed up and they ended up being sponsored by someone else. I have also preached "Don't worry about them saying NO to you, worry about them saying YES to somebody else!"

When marketing on the Internet we have people inquiring about our products and opportunities from around the world. When you get an email request from a prospect it is very important that you follow up with that prospect quickly and professionally. The quicker you respond to that persons request the higher the likelihood that they will respond favorably to your offer.

After your initial contact with your prospect do you continue to send them additional information?

Unfortunately most Internet marketers do not. When you don't follow up with additional information all the time, energy and effort to create that prospect is for nothing. You must learn to work smarter, not just harder!

It is quite possible that your prospect was on vacation, out of town on business, or simply to busy to reply to you after your initial contact. Perhaps they just misplaced your email address. I know for a fact that many would be distributors wait on purpose to see if they hear from you again. Are you a one hit wonder, or do you feel the prospect is important enough to follow up with again? These people are looking for opportunities and or products, or they never would have responded to you in the first place.

How many distributors have you lost because of inconsistent follow up?

Like everything else in our business, to follow up properly and effectively you need a system. An effective system that can be duplicated. If you don't follow up with prospects consistently and in a timely fashion regarding their INDIVIDUAL information request then you might as well forget about ever becoming very successful in your business.

Remember, Follow up is more important than the initial contact!

I have used many different follow up systems through the years. When I first started marketing on the Internet I almost went crazy trying to keep track and follow-up with all my potential retail customers, and business prospects! Finally I found a totally automated system, that requires very little effort on my part but has increased my online follow up results by 500%! What do you think a system like that has been worth to me? What would it be worth to you? To say I am much more productive today with this system in place would be a gross understatement.

So, what are you talking about?

I am talking about putting your follow up program on autopilot with individual PERSONALIZED pre written follow-up messages. It's called an Autoresponder. This type of system can dramatically increase your retail sales and sponsoring rate. All Internet marketing professionals use this type of system! To setup this system you need to do a little bit of planning on the front end to save you countless number of hours on the back end.

First you'll need to develop your follow up messages. If you've been marketing on the Internet for any length of time then you should already have your first information letter, what we call Play One. Your second letter (or first follow up - Play 2) should go into more detail than the first letter. Make sure you stress the BENEFITS of your product or service.

Your next 2-3 follow up messages should be rather short and stress the benefits. Remember BENEFITS, BENEFITS, BENEFITS Write the letters so your prospect can skim the contents and get the full force of your message. For your last couple of follow up messages you should create a sense of urgency in your prospect's mind. Make a special offer to give them a reason to order or join now instead of waiting longer. The key is creating urgency so you'll need to look at your product, service, or opportunity and see how you can make your prospect want to order immediately.

The final 1 or 2 follow up messages should be in the form of a question. Ask your prospect why they haven't ordered or joined? Try to get them to respond. Ask if the price was to high, the product wasn't the right color, not the right features, or were they looking for something else. Any feedback you receive at this point will be very valuable. It is very unlikely the person will order from you or join your organization at this time, but it won't be because you didn't follow-up quickly and professionally! Their feedback can help you modify your follow up letters or product and services so that other prospects will join your organization or purchase your products.

The timing of your follow up letters is also important. You don't want to have one prospect receive a follow up the next day when another prospect waited over 3 weeks for a follow up. You should always send the first follow up 24 hours after the information request. You want a hot prospect to have more information quickly so they can make an informed decision.

The next 2-3 follow up messages should be sent between 1 and 3 days apart. Your prospect is still hot and is probably still shopping around for information. Provide them with the benefits they are looking for. The final follow up messages should be sent with much more time in between them. You don't want to annoy your prospect so make sure the letters are at least 6 days apart.

Remember: Follow up is more important than the initial contact!
