Leadership and YOU

Following is some great information from a MAJOR SUCCESS story and one of the top trainers in our industry - Jeffery Combs.

Leadership Begins With You!

Leadership begins when you start perceiving yourself as a leader first. It’s going to be difficult for you to convince someone else that you’re the leader if you don’t believe that you really are. Loving and respecting yourself are also prerequisites for becoming a great leader.

Network marketing and direct sales are a business of leadership. People will buy what they perceive to be of value and they will enroll with the person they perceive to be the leader they are looking for. In this industry of network marketing your success or lack of success will depend on the following:

  1. Your ability to lead.
  2. Your commitment to assisting others to achieve their goals.
  3. A daily ACTION plan to develop your communication and relationship skills.
  4. Your willingness to continually work on you, i.e. your personal growth.
  5. Focused, persistent, and consistent action to move you toward achieving your goals.

Every day individuals will contact me and ask me for a script that “works” or a lead source that is “better” than the rest. The truth is that any lead is a good one and that all scripts work. Besides it’s never what you say, but how you say what you say that is important. You have to be willing to go through the numbers and talk to a lot of people. Most will say “no” and some will say “yes.” The trick is to focus on the ones who say “yes” and to let go of the rest!

I have an affirmation that I have my clients write down and repeat several times each day. It is this: “I am the leader people are looking for.” Saying this affirmation will assist you to reinforce your subconscious that you are a leader and you do perceive yourself to be a leader.

Many people in our industry are under the misconception that this is a business of sales. Nothing could be further from the truth! The very first product you must sell is you! If you are marketing a useful or beneficial product and representing a reputable company then the only variable is you, right? If the prospect or potential new distributor isn’t comfortable with you, then they aren’t buying! This is a business of leadership more than anything else. If a potential new customer or distributor doesn’t think that you are confident in what you’re selling, where you’re going, or who you are, then they will not follow you into your opportunity! Why would they? You must come across as a self-confident leader, not a desperate sales person.

On the journey to success, "Heart beats talent every time."

YOU DESERVE TO HAVE IT ALL!
