Why do you have a website ?

This is the no.1 Question you need to ask, and answer. even before your website goes live.

And if your answer is: 'Cause everyone has one', then that's not good enough.

Your Website needs to sell your company to potential clients for you. It essentially needs to qualify your leads for you, and bring in money for you.

You could be losing a great deal of money if you don't use your website as the great marketing and sales tool it really is and should be.

If you answer the phone, what is the first thing a new potential client asks you ?

Has your company been around for 10 years ? No

Do you employ 1000+ people ? No

or Can your product or service solve their problem ? Yes.

The other Questions are always secondary. So why do we focus our whole website on these secondary questions ?

Can you solve my problem or my pain,that is what clients want to know.And if you can answer that Question on your website before they call you, then you will find you spend less time wasted on clients that aren't looking for what you do, and more time on doing work for clients that want to work with you.

Just imagine if all you do is send your sales force to people who want your product or service, and get rid of cold calling people. This will definatly ensure that your profits soar, and a great way to get the costs down.

Important Tip:
When you build your website, you have to shift your focus to what your client wants. One of the easiest ways to do this, is to actually record one of your best sales people when they visit a new client, and listen to what the client asks and how they are sold. This then can become the focus of your website.

If you're website is designed and planned correctly this is what you will get. A site that's working for you, bringing in the Sales or New leads, and isn't that what you would expect from a website ?
